Since last weekend was the Etsy Made Local London event, I’ve put together some gift guides of a few of my favourite things. This one is all about necklaces! So, even if you didn’t make it to the event you can still support independent makers and designers while doing your Christmas gift shopping.
For your quirky, timeless (!) friend
Roderick from Rodology painstakingly collects watch parts and then turns them into beautiful handmade jewellery. We love this necklace and the fact that it is a subtle, pretty way to rock a vintage piece, re-born.
For your fashion-ista sista
If you have a sister who’s just so cutting edge, you never know what to buy her, this necklace could be for you. Made by Rhiannon, a sculptor and jeweller, this is a hand-cast concrete necklace with a hint of brass, for that minimalist, industrial look.
And a cheeky gift for yourself!
You really can’t go wrong with this grey tassel necklace. It looks amazing on its own as a simple classic piece worn to work or at the weekend, or you can boho it up with layers of other jewellery. This is the necklace that will take you through the cold winter months right into the sunny summer festivals! Made by Melodie from SlinkyLinks, who specialises in upcycling leather.
Stay tuned for more Christmas gift guides from the London Local Team.
